L2 Church HistoryL2 began in June of 1992. Originally, the small congregation of 40 met at a high school in Littleton, but moved to a church in Englewood in 1993. In 1995, the church moved to its current location on East Colfax Avenue, one of the city’s newest urban redevelopment areas. In 2005, we realized that we were failing to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ. We had become an insular body, focused more on defending truth to other Christians than actually taking the truth to the city around us. We began to make changes that realized the potential of our downtown location and the diversity of our congregation. We do not hail from any particular neighborhood or any particular part of the metro area. We meet in the heart of a city, in a building where the needs of many are evident right outside our front door. As we grow in number and in faith, we go forth from that door, committed to making a difference in our city. In the summer of 2006, we decided that we needed a name change to reflect our new start. That's when we became L2 Church. Since that time, our church attendance has grown rapidly as many have committed to the mission to which we are called. We as a church body want to continue to be used by God to impact the great city of Denver with truth. History in the making...making a difference starts with our own personal mission. The city is changed through our people being dedicated to Jesus, living and sharing the truth to their families, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Reaching "as many as possible" has become the heart behind much of what we do. Making a difference also involves a coporate mission which we are developing by being the regional hub for the A29 Network. Through providing resources such as weekly coaching to local church planters, we envision a network of churches throughout the city that can partner together to meet needs and transform lives. Finally, we strive to make a difference with a global mission. By supporting the Kenya Kids Project and The Master's Mission, we begin to meet needs that are beyond what we see and hear in Denver each day. Join us in this mission and vision so that the truth might spread to as many as possible.
