At L2, we believe that biblical community is necessary for growth, encouragement, and accountability as we try to live out our lives in a God honoring way. Our community groups are not intended to be merely social events, but rather intentional times to question, engage, and apply the truths of scripture in ways we can't do alone. "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." - 1 Thess 5:11.
Community groups are designed to deepen your relationships in the city. These relationships may be with members of your neighborhood, the church, or from work. L2 Church desires to support you on your mission in the city and help to equip you to continue to have clarity and success in that mission. City Park Group
The City Park Community Group meets at Ryan and Brittany's house on the North side of City Park every Wednesday night from 7:00pm-9:00pm to have dinner, prayer, and study the Bible. They're open to young couples and singles living downtown who would like to engage in community and outreach. Contact Ryan at Ryan.Ballein@gmail.com.
Park Hill Group
The Park Hill group meets at Jon & Julie McKendry's house the first, second, and fourth Wednesday evening each month to do a more in-depth study of each week's sermon. They are a younger group with kids under two. They are currently open for new members, and because of kids, they are flexible with meeting times and frequency. Contact Jon at Jon@L2today.com if you are interested in joining this group.
Michael and Janet recently moved to City Park area. They have 3 adult children (plus 2 wonderful "in laws") and 2 adorable grandchildren. As a family they have been involved with missions in Central America. They are excited to host a small group with the goal of learning more about Jesus and forming a community for fellowship. The group will welcome people of all ages, married or single. As a study we start with a follow up discussion of the weekly sermons. A goal of our group will be to have a mission focus either locally, globally or both. They meet 1st and 3rd Sundays, 6:30-8:00pm.

"For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness." - Romans 12:4-8
