Undercurrent, Sarah Jarosz’s latest release, is a creative landmark for Jarosz, she's been making music for most of her life. Growing up in Wimberley, Texas, she began singing in early childhood. Receiving a mandolin for Christmas when she was nine years old, she worked tirelessly to master the instrument, and learned to play guitar and clawhammer banjo along the way. When she was 11, she performed at her first bluegrass festival; over the next few years, she gained an impressive reputation as a young phenom on the festival circuit, absorbing a world of traditional influences while honing her own highly original songwriting sensibility.
"From an early age, I've had a strong desire to create music," Jarosz states. "I was also fortunate to be surrounded by older, accomplished musicians who were my mentors. From the very beginning, all of my heroes looked out for me and challenged me in the best ways. It was great being raised in music that way. I always felt completely supported, and I think that that attitude affected the way I approach music now."
Undercurrent is a sublimely resonant song cycle anchored around a haunting quartet of songs written and performed solo by the artist: "Early Morning Light," "Everything To Hide," "Take Another Turn" and "Jacqueline." The album features several numbers co-written by Jarosz with a variety of collaborators who also contributed to the recordings.

We are blessed to meet in a historic building right on Colfax. It is a beautiful space that after 87 years of use, requires quite a bit of maintenance. To keep our worship space in good working order, as well as preserve a piece of Denver's history, we need your help! Come help us do everything from pull weeds, to paint floors, to maintaining the heating system on Saturday October 29th starting at 8am!
Gather around our table at L2 for an opportunity to break bread and spend time with people from the neighborhood. This month will feature cocktails crafted by local bar, Bar Max, known for their simple and sophisticated approach to classic drinks.
"Food matters. At the very beginning, and all through the Bible, all through the stories about God and his people there are stories about food… it’s the starting point, the common ground, the thing to hold and handle, the currency we offer to one another." - Bread & Wine

The Liturgists exists to create room at the table for the spiritually homeless and frustrated.
They started with occasional, small events and recorded liturgies. Then somewhat accidentally launched the popular, globally-recognized The Liturgists Podcast. Since then they’ve encountered thousands of people who have a longing for spirituality in the Christian tradition, but who don't feel welcome or included in today's Church.
Today, they’re trying the next logical step: The Liturgists Gathering. It's a way for us to help these people find each other, and in doing so form vibrant community.
When you attend The Liturgists Gathering, you'll meet other people on the same journey to know God while living lives of love and acceptance. Everyone is welcome–all races, genders, orientations, all shapes, sizes, and shades of humanity. It's the perfect place to go if you can't find a church that fits, or if you're a minister looking to understand why so many people are hesitant to seek out Christian community.
The Liturgists Gathering is a safe place to have honest discussions about doubts, hopes, fears, and faith. A place where no question is off limits, but you can find a burgeoning community of people who will welcome you with all your strangeness. A place where the unlikely gather around a table and find they belong.
Science Mike, and Michael and Lisa Gungor will be a part of this gathering, and will lead conversations about mind-blowing topics through the lenses of science, art, and faith. They will also lead a communal time of worship, lead by Michael and Lisa (and a string trio).
Most of all, we'll get to know each other, and in doing so realize that we're never alone–that there are other people out there with these questions, and this longing to know God.
Review the schedule for this two day event, then purchase tickets at the link below, and be sure to listen to the latest episodes of The Liturgists Podcast.

Christian baptism is one of two ordinances that Jesus instituted for the church. Just before His ascension, Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19–20). These instructions specify that the church is responsible to teach Jesus’ word, make disciples, and baptize those disciples.
If you are in need of more information on baptism or would like to be baptized, we ask that you fill out the form below and we will reach out and schedule a time to meet with you to discuss the next steps toward fulfilling this ordinance.
